Private ADHD assessment in Dublin

We assess adults for ADHD in Dublin by online video call, with no GP referral needed. Your written report arrives within 6 weeks of your first appointment.

What a private ADHD assessment costs in Dublin

An adult ADHD assessment is €595. An autism assessment is €750. A combined ADHD and autism assessment, often called AuDHD, is €1,000.

Every booking includes a free pre-assessment evaluation, so you can find out whether a full assessment is the right step before you commit to one. Every booking also includes your EchoMind AI profile, worth €97, which sets out how your mind works in practical terms rather than clinical ones.

The price covers your assessment and your written diagnostic report. You are not asked to pay separately for the report you came for.

Where we are and where your assessment happens

Our clinic is at 26 Pembroke Street Upper, Dublin D02 X361, open by appointment. Your assessment itself is an online video call, so you do not need to travel across the city for it.

That suits most people better. You can be at home in a quiet room with the door shut, which matters when you are describing things you may never have said out loud before. There is no waiting room, no parking to sort out and no reason to take a full day off work.

All you need is a private space, a device with a camera and a connection steady enough to hold a video call.

How the assessment works, step by step

There are four stages: questionnaires before your appointment, the clinical interview, a multidisciplinary review and your written report. Each stage feeds the next, which is why the process is more than a single conversation.

First, you complete the questionnaires linked in your confirmation email. Someone who knows you well, a partner, parent, sibling or close friend, completes an informant questionnaire too. ADHD shows up across settings and across years, so a second perspective adds detail you may not have noticed about yourself.

Next comes the clinical interview. For adult ADHD we use DIVA-5, a structured diagnostic interview that works through each area methodically instead of leaving it to open conversation. Where autism is part of the picture we use the ADI-R. The interview covers childhood, school, family history, relationships, daily organisation, emotional regulation, sleep and physical health.

Your case is then reviewed by a specialist team rather than decided by one person on their own. Your report is written up after that review.

Who carries out your assessment

Our service is led by a consultant psychiatrist. Dr Jahan Zeb Khan, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director, is registered with the Irish Medical Council under IMC No. 409788.

Our clinicians are registered with CORU, the Psychological Society of Ireland, the Irish Medical Council or the HCPC, depending on their profession. You can check any of those registers yourself.

Most of our team are neurodivergent, ADHD, autistic or both. It changes how the appointment feels. You are not explaining what it is like to be interrupted mid-sentence to someone who has only read about it.

Your report and what the HSE accepts

You receive a detailed written report within 6 weeks of your first appointment. It complies with NICE guidelines and meets the standard required for recognition by the HSE in Ireland as well as the NHS in the UK.

That matters because the report is the thing you actually use afterwards. It supports workplace accommodations, exam and college support, onward referral through the HSE and any application where you need a diagnosis in writing.

You receive a written report whatever the outcome. No assessment can promise a diagnosis. Sometimes a careful evaluation finds that stress, sleep, anxiety or the sheer demands of your current life explain more of it than ADHD does. That is a real answer too. You leave with it in writing.

Medication after a diagnosis

If you want to consider medication, that route is open to you here. Our reports are psychiatrist-approved and a medication pathway is available after diagnosis.

Medication is a choice, not a requirement. Plenty of people are diagnosed, read their report, change how they organise their work and their week and never take a tablet. Others find medication makes the difference. Either is a reasonable decision to make once you have the full picture.

Booking from Dublin

You can book directly. No GP referral is required, because we are a private clinic and you do not need permission to be assessed.

If you would rather ask a question first, message us on WhatsApp at +353 87 116 3039. If you are not ready to book at all, start with one of the free screeners on our tools page. A screener is not a diagnosis, though it does tell you whether a full assessment is worth your time.
